Unbelievable

So I was listening to my favorite San Diego radio station yesterday and one of the items on their "news that didn't make the news" segment was one of the most unbelievable things I have ever heard.

NOTE: This is not a Christian radio station.

There is a website called Information Age Prayer that is here to help you if you are a busy person. Information Age Prayer will, for a fee, pray your prayers for you so that you do not have to do it. They have an advanced text to speech program that will pray whatever you want. They also have the automated "Lord's Prayer" "Hail Mary" as well as the daily prayers for Muslims. If you are Muslim and cannot get up early enough or take a break during work here in the busy United States then have this website say your prayers for you. They even face the speakers toward Mecca for you. HOW THOUGHTFUL!!!

They offer prayers for Protestants, Catholics, Muslims, Jews, unaffiliated, and other religions.

You can pay by the month (only $3.95 save $2.05) or per prayer. Here is the winner though. You can get: The Lords Prayer, The Morning Prayer, 5 Get Well Prayers and Peace Prayer, only $19.95 each Month.

Anyway...we all got a good laugh about it here at work. It is also a tad scary that this exists and that people would be willing to do this. They do tell you that it should not be a substitute for your prayers...hmmm...and they offer 10% of their profit to charities.

What do you think?!??!?
Peace. ╬

P.S. Sorry it's been so long since I last posted.

Hope Video

So I have told some of you about the video we made to say hello to Hope instead of an in-person "meet and greet". Here is our video in all its glory. I hope you enjoy it as much as Bekkah and I had making the video.

UPDATE: The official date for my ordination/installation is going to be Saturday November 29th. Bekkah and I found out today and are very excited about the news. Also we are happy to announce that we officially have a place to live as well! Will give out address and such as people ask and most likely out to email once all the details are finalized.

Received a call...moving to Temecula

We just wanted to let everyone know that hasn't already heard, that Bekkah, Charlie, and I are moving to Temecula, CA. It is about an hour north of San Diego and about 30 minutes from Escondido where I am from.

The church where I will be serving is Hope Lutheran Church and you can visit their website here: Hope. The size of the church is about 1600 members and I will be serving as the associate pastor with an emphasis on youth and family ministries and small groups.

I do not have an official ordination and installation date but I will be starting on Tuesday December 2nd. We will most likely will be moving to Temecula on Friday November 14th assuming our application is accepted.

Both Bekkah and I are very excited about the opportunity to serve at Hope and really appreciate all the prayers and support you have given us during this time of transition.

We look forward to hearing from you all and we will get out our new contact information to you all as soon as we have it!

UPDATE: Hope just posted a welcome message for Bekkah and I so check out the link in this post or on the blog to see it.

Trip to CA

Here is Bekkah being my chauffer. The seat belt is stuck and won't come out so Bekkah has been driving me around during our trip to see my family and some friends down in the San Diego area. It's been nice to be able to spread out, and it's been funny getting some stares from people.

As for our trip we went to Sea World on Friday and then to the beach and dinner on Saturday.

Then Kevin and I went to see Pinapple Express that night. I must admit I laughed a lot but there was a whole lot of violence that I didn't care for. In the end it was a night well spent with my brother.

On Sunday my family (my mom, Kevin, Chris, and Alison) and I went to College Lutheran to see Bekkah play at her home church. Then we headed to the beach and did some snorkeling. Saw a lot of Garibaldi and a huge Sea Bass.

Bekkah and I left there and went to Pastor Doug and Molly's house with Rachel for dinner. That was a lot of fun.

Today we watched some Olympics and then went to see Pastor Molly for some work stuff Bekkah is doing. Currently we're on our way home to hot HOT AZ.

Sent from my phone.

Peace!

A tad on the Nerd side

So I ran across this today and thought I would share with everyone my love for Star Wars. And what better way to love Star Wars than with Gospel music? Come on I know you will love it. Just sit back relax and clap your hands for the Eeewoks!!

And if its not funny the first time try having a beer or two and then watching it again (yay for the beer tag!)

Peace!

The Conduit

The Conduit is a FPS game exclusively for the Wii system and is supposed to come out at the beginning of next year. I have been watching this game for some time and now that I have seen some gameplay footage I am very excited about the potential of playing a really great looking and hardcore game for the Wii.

All the videos out right now are all about the same exact footage but it looks like it will be a great game. The only complaint that I have right now is that it looks a lot like the Halo series. I guess that you cannot make a game nowadays and not have it compared to it but there are the basic ground troops and some flying troops and the use of both alien and human weapons that are rather similar to the Halo games. The SCAR acts very similarly to the Battle Rifle and some of the alien weapons just look like they are similar to the Halo weapons.

The similarities are a tad annoying but the game does look amazing and I am definitely looking forward to playing this game when it comes out.

In other news I am still jobless and waiting on some concrete information about a church.

Peace.

Update

So according to Chrisy I need to update this guy.

This weekend Bekkah and I went to CA to see our friend Stine in a musical called Pippin. It was rather interesting to say the least. Check out what it's about and you might get an idea of what I mean.

Call process is slow. I have had 3 interviews that have not panned out. Two ended it with me because I have no experience and the third I ended because I did not feel it was a good fit. I have two more prospects so we'll see how they pan out.

In the meantime Bekkah and I are living with her parents in Mesa, AZ in their basement. It has been nice but I honestly would like to be out in CA doing minisrty. I am getting a little antsy.

Been foing other things to keep me busy around the house and helping people out. If you wanna know more let me know and I can tell ya what we've been up to.

Peace!
